Charity Abounds: Beauty & Christian Love in the Music of St. Hildegard of Bingen

Join us for a concert in the St. Mechtilde Sacred Music Series. Rosemary Heredos and our very own Sister Jeana Visel will be singing the music of of St. Hildegard of Bingen.

Experience the theology and cosmos of St. Hildegard of Bingen, doctor of the Church, through the sounds of her music. This musical journey will explore music of her Symphonia (Symphony of the Harmony of Celestial Revelations), and her liturgical drama Ordo Virtutem (Order of the Virtues). St. Hildegard was abbess of a German Benedictine women’s monastery. While the sisters of her community were the original singers of this repertoire, her legacy has inspired generations and continues to offer timely perspectives for the twenty-first century Church.

Saturday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. EST

The concert will be open to the public, and there will be a free will offering available for those who want to give their support.
