Serving You
Monastery Immaculate Conception was founded in 1867 by four young women who came to Ferdinand, Indiana, from Covington, Kentucky. Originally, the group lived in a small, three-room cottage near the parish church. Within the year, the community had outgrown the small cottage. Two rooms and a chapel were added and subsequently occupied on September 1, 1868. A larger brick building was built and then dedicated to the Immaculate Conception on July 11, 1870.
