Missioning

Our July Community Days always ends with Missioning. At Midday Prayer, we listen to our prioress give us a reflection and theme for the year. I will share some thoughts on the theme in my next post. We are all missioned to our deanery and ministry for the year. We receive a blessing from the prioress and a mission card. I have every card that I have received each year. 

After each sister is called by name, we renew our monastic profession. The prayer ends with the “Te Deum” and the sign of peace. We give lots of hugs and blessings for a new year.
