Family

My family plays an important role in my life. I grew up in Dubois County and my parents live in the same house that I grew up in. 

As a sister, we have a certain amount of time that we can set aside to visit family. Many sisters’ families invite them to go on vacation with them. Our families come to get to know the community and we get to know them. Many of our families believe that they have gained 100 more sisters in their lives, and we see our other sisters’ families as our families too.

When a woman joins the community she brings along what she has learned from her family and culture. These items are what helps form and shape the community.
