Discovering Connections

I enjoy having students come for a tour and prayer at the Monastery. In the past two weeks, we have had seventh graders visit from Evansville, Indiana, and eighth graders visit from New Albany, Indiana. When the seventh graders were visiting, one of the boys ended up discovering that Sister Barbara Ann is his great-great-aunt. Neither one of them knew each other until lunch. A blessing in disguise.

When the eighth graders were visiting, one young lady came up to me and asked if I knew Sister Dolores. She said that she was her great-great aunt. I was touched that she was comfortable coming up and asking me. As we were heading into church for midday prayer, guess who was standing right there, Sister Dolores! They were able to connect and talk, and I was able to take a photo of them together.

Both of these experiences were not planned, but God was working and showing these students and me the way He puts Himself into our daily lives.
