St. Hildegard Society
The St. Hildegard Society is an honorary society established in 1990 as a way to recognize those who choose to support the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand, Indiana, by remembering us in their estate plans. The society is named in honor of St. Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th Century Benedictine abbess of Rupertsberg on the Rhine, near Bingen, Germany. St. Hildegard Society eligibility is fulfilled by doing one of the following in support of the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand, Indiana:
- Leaving a bequest
- Creating a charitable trust
- Naming us as a beneficiary of a retirement plan
- Funding a charitable gift annuity
- Establishing a life estate contract
- Making us owner and/or beneficiary of a whole life insurance policy
- Naming us as beneficiary of a donor-advised fund.

One of the benefits of being a member of the St. Hildegard Society is being remembered in the daily prayers and work of the Sisters of St. Benedict, now and in the future. We also invite members to join us for Mass and dinner on the last Sunday in April each year.
