Sister Anita Louise receives the Distinguished Alumni Award from Brescia University.

We would like to congratulate our prioress, Sister Anita Louise Lowe, for being honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from Brescia University in Owensboro. She received the award at Brescia’s Distinguished Alumni Banquet held during their 2023 Alumni Homecoming and Family Weekend on Saturday, September 30.

The recognition of Distinguished Alumni was created to honor those Brescia University graduates who exemplify in their lives the elements that comprise The Brescia Difference: Respect for the Sacred, Devotion to Learning, Commitment to Growth in Virtue, and Promotion of Servant Leadership.

Sister Anita Louise graduated from Brescia in 1987 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in French with Secondary Education Certification. While at Brescia, she was a member and president of Alpha Chi, involved in Campus Ministry, led music group for mass, and led retreats for high school students.
