Sisters are not scary!

A student visiting the monastery for the day told me that this is what she was taking away from the day. She was so surprised that we have fun, talk, and play games with each other. She was not expecting that we would do such normal things. 

It made me feel good that we can show others who we are and what our lives mean. We are humans and we like to do things others do. We are not to be put on a pedestal. We are who God created us to be. We just decided to live our lives a little differently than others. We decided to live in a community, under a prioress, and taking vows.
