Marian Parlor

The monastery has a large space called the Marian Parlor that’s well-suited for group activities. We often gather there to watch events together, such as football games, the Kentucky Derby, and movies. Just recently, we watched the Olympics opening ceremony in this communal space. What makes these viewing parties special is that they bring together people of all ages. Regardless of one’s age, everyone can sit and enjoy the shared experience. I particularly appreciate when the sisters share their perspectives, recounting their memories of past events or their experiences from times when I wasn’t part of the community.
