Put your passion to work. Join our Mission Advancement team.

The Sisters of St. Benedict are looking for someone to work on their Mission Advancement Team.  This person would support and align themselves with the passion and mission of the Sisters of St. Benedict.

A successful Major Gifts Officer will develop and cultivate meaningful long-term relationships with major donors, leading to donors expressing their support through continued generous contributions. They will be able to accurately inform donors how their gifts enable the sisters to advance their mission and impact the work in their ministries.

The ideal candidate is required to have knowledge of various ways of making major and planned gifts, campaign giving, and the tax implications for estate planning. They will develop and manage a portfolio of current and prospective major donors and work with the Mission Advancement Team to grow and evolve the major donor program.

Preferred applicants will have a formal 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program, such as the CFRM credentials.

At the core of this position, the ideal gift officer is someone who can invite others into a relationship with the sisters.  It is someone who loves people, loves the sisters, and has a deep desire to help others find the joy in giving.  For it is that giving that will enable the sisters to keep advancing their mission for at least another 150 years.  Those that give to the sisters oftentimes find their personal blessing from the care of the sisters far outweighs the financial gifts they have given to the sisters. It is the work of this team member to help facilitate that relationship.
