Continuing Discernment

As you continue your discernment process, especially to religious life, Haase mentions that it is an ongoing and lifelong process. We don’t just stop when we become a postulant. Haase states “… it requires listening to your life, the megaphone God uses to communicate with each of us.” 

When we start really living life it becomes important to listen to God, my being, and those around me. I have to be aware if my decision is helping me to feel at peace and happy. Haase tells us that ongoing discernment is about staying awake and living with awareness and attention. This is a great book to read and reflect on how I am discerning in my life. If you find that you are discerning religious life, and would like to talk and journey with a vocation director, please reach out.
