Blooming

This beautiful flower sits on a window sill in the hallway between Church and the dining room. We as a community walk this hallway at least three times a day going from common prayer to common table.

I can’t help but think about the blooming of this flower. How it started out as a small bulb when it was planted and how it was nurtured to grow and bloom. To me, that is what our common prayer and table do for me. They nurture my soul and body to grow and transform. The community helps me to bloom the gifts that show up in my life.
