Saying Yes
In the next few posts, I would like to share some insights from a book by Albert Haase, OFM. The book is titled Saying Yes: Discovery and Responding to God’s Will in Your Life. This practical handbook guides you to “focus on a transformative love that would make us whole and holy.”
God wants us to live our lives as holy and whole. He wants us to be happy and transforming. Following our call to a certain way of life to live out the call to be holy. He goes on in the book to say that it is important “to grow in the understanding of who I am” and “to change and evolve.” It is important to find a way of life that will help me to change and transform. A way of life that allows me to grow and follow the will of God needs to be part of the decision making process. “Moments of prayer provide the interior space and card silence where God speaks words of invitation.”
Would saying “yes” give me the space to pray? Am I taking time to have silence with God? Sometimes life gets busy and I don’t have the balance, I need to spend time with God. I challenge you to take time to find who you are in God’s will and be with God. More from the book next week.
