Influencers

I am currently reading Christus vivit, an apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis. My ministry allows me to work with many young people, and I want to get some understanding of their faiths and what the Pope says about the young people of the church.

In one part, I was reading about Mary. Mary was a young woman when she said yes to God’s will for her to carry the son of God. The Pope called Mary an influencer, as she influences others to say yes and be courageous. Here, following the will of God is a blessing for us. We wouldn’t have the Rosary or even our belief in Mary without her yes. She influenced others to have the courage to listen and follow.

In today’s world, we see many influencers on social media. My challenge is: how can I be an influencer of faith and God?
