How can I safely view the eclipse?

You must wear ISO-certified solar glasses to view the eclipse. Each attendee will receive a pair of glasses upon entering the monastery grounds.

DO NOT look directly at the eclipse without ISO-certified solar glasses. DO NOT take a photo of the eclipse directly with your phone, as it can cause it to burn up and overheat.

All visitors are responsible for their own health and safety. Monastery Immaculate Conception cannot be held liable for any injuries, illnesses, or damages resulting from visitors’ actions or negligence.

Where do I sign in when I arrive or register in-person?

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, registration is in Event Center.
On Monday, you can purchase tickets and register at each of the entrances of the Monastery.

What if I want to view the eclipse somewhere else?

You are welcome to view the eclipse elsewhere other than the monastery grounds. If you leave, you must exit the grounds by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, as we will be closing the road and will stop admitting guests at that time. You will not be allowed back on the premises until 4:00 p.m. when we reopen the road.

What if I need to leave to pick up supplies during my stay?

Campers can leave the grounds during their stay. Your wrist band is your admission ticket back onto the grounds. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that you be back on the grounds by nightfall.

You must be on the grounds by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, as we will be closing the road from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for the eclipse.

What if it rains during my stay?

You can bring rain supplies, including ponchos, umbrellas, and tarps, if rain is forecasted during the weekend. Please note that all reservations are non-refundable even in the event of rain.

If the weather becomes severe and dangerous, we will relocate guests to the Event Center for their safety.

Can I build a campfire?

No, individual campfires are not allowed to be set on the grounds. We will have two designated areas on the grounds where we will have big fire pits for you to enjoy every night.

Campers are allowed to have Solo Stoves or something equivalent.

Can I bring a generator?

Generators are allowed for RVs/campers only, not for tents. All generators must be turned off from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Are pets allowed on the grounds?

No, pets are not allowed.
