Cosmic Walk Blessing

Monastery Immaculate Conception is honored to announce the opening of our new Cosmic Walk with a blessing ceremony that all are invited to attend. Our prioress Sister Anita Louise Lowe will preside over the blessing. Afterwards, you’re welcomed to either view the Cosmic Walk stations in the Madonna Shelter or walk the trail yourself.

In case of rain, ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 25

The Cosmic Walk is located south of Madonna Lake. Park in the Grotto parking lot, walk toward the back of the lake, and locate the Hermitage, the small house next to the woods. The entrance to the Cosmic Walk is a short distance to the left of the Hermitage.

The Cosmic Walk is a walking meditation that offers us a glimpse into our sacred origins. While there are many creation stories, this one is an attempt to connect the work of scientists from around the world with our ongoing spiritual search to understand who we are and how we came to be.
