Advent Lectio Sessions

Lectio Divina, (Latin for Divine Reading) is a very ancient form of praying with Scripture.  During Lectio, we listen to the text of the Bible with the “ear of the heart,” with the aim of nourishing and deepening our relationship with God. 

You are invited to register for the Advent Lectio Sessions if you are new to this way of prayer as well as those who are familiar.  Sessions will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, November 26, and Thursdays, December 5, 12, and 19 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.  We will be using the approaching Sunday’s Gospel for each of the four weeks of Advent.  Each session will be led by trained facilitators familiar with the practice of Lectio Divina. 

After you register you will be sent a link for the coming session as well as a copy of the text for that Sunday’s Gospel. 

Thursdays during Advent
First session begins Tuesday, November 26 because of Thanksgiving

There is no charge for the Lectio Series but a free will offering is welcomed.  Even if you can’t make all four sessions, you are encouraged to register for the program.
