About Kordes Center

Kordes Center is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual life of people of all faiths. It is rooted in the monastic tradition of the Ferdinand Benedictines, and is committed to the Benedictine values of community, hospitality, service, and prayer. The Center's atmosphere fosters a contemplative attitude and calls forth transformation and action from all that enter its doors. The history of Kordes begins in 1978, when the sisters responded to the growing hunger for spiritual renewal among both religious and laity.

The Center's hospitable staff quickly responds to the needs of groups and individuals while maintaining a comfortable, quiet environment. Kordes guests will enjoy:

Air-conditioned, carpeted bedrooms (all double occupancy)
Large meeting room that seats 70 people
Several small meeting rooms that seat 15-25 people
Comfortable lounges
Well-planned, nutritious meals with accommodations for special dietary needs
A bookstore

Costs

Fees for sponsored programs are reasonable and competitive with other retreat centers around the country. Group rates are available for some programs.

In addition to its own programs, Kordes provides facility rental for groups and individuals for meetings, conferences, retreats, and workshops. Because most renters are from non-profit organizations, the Center strives to keep rental rates competitive. Youth rates are also available for weekday rental.
