"From my Beachfront Condo to the Monastery"

Affiliate Stage

The Affiliate Stage, the second step in discernment, is for women who, after some communication with our community, want to discern more seriously their call to the monastic life as we live it.

What We Do

• Offer support through regular communication with the director of vocation ministries and other sisters.
• Provide additional educational and discernment opportunities, including Come & See Weekends/Week and a Companion Program.
• Guide the affiliates who request entrance into community through the steps of application.

What You Do

• Make your request to enter into more serious discernment with the Ferdinand Benedictines.
• Meet regularly with our director of vocation ministries and visit our Monastery at Ferdinand.
• Participate in the Companion Program.
• Discern with the vocation director your readiness to begin the application process for entrance into the Ferdinand Benedictine community.
